DESIGN CAPABILITIES
We have extensive experience in civil/structural and building design over a wide range and scale of projects from residential houses to commercial & multi-storey buildings, car park structures, retail projects, warehouses, industrial structures and retaining walls. In addition we have been involved in several refurbishment projects including seismic upgrading of existing structures and heritage buildings.
We provide specialist civil/structural design services for a variety of clients and as a sub-consultant on several major projects. On larger projects we have worked effectively as part of a team of design professionals under the direction of a lead consultant or Project Manager.
Our design services encompass the full range of structural materials including steel, concrete, masonry, timber and TriBoard. We engage selected sub-consultants on a project by project basis for specialist services including Geotechnical investigation, Fire engineering, Building services and computational analysis.
We can provide services tailored to the project requirements from preliminary design for budget purposes, alternative designs and temporary works through to Building Consent documentation and site observation during construction.
Our involvement with Construction companies keeps us up to date with construction techniques and economic practices. This experience is used in developing innovative and cost competitive solutions across a wide range of design projects.
We have extensive in-house computer resources including Microstran structural analysis software, AutoCAD and ArchiCAD draughting software. Drawings can be prepared using either system in sizes from A4 to A1 depending on project requirements. All our software is regularly updated to ensure the latest technology is available.
PROJECT DELIVERY
We aim to build strong, enduring relationships with our clients and offer a high level of service at what we believe to be a reasonable cost. Being a small practice, senior staff remain closely involved with each project from inception to completion.
All our permanent and contract staff are widely experienced in New Zealand design and construction practice and are highly motivated to ensure accurate documentation is delivered on time.
